Bullet Train VS Resuming Chennai

“A $15 billion train to run in India between Mumbai – Ahmedabad soon”, the news seems very interesting. This news shows how our new government is trying to get technology revolution in India. But will this train be of any help to the flood victims of Chennai? Will it benefit Chennai in any way? Answer, for sure, is NO! Chennai, which is badly affected by flood recently, needs to resume its earlier life soon. Many people have been affected and getting everything back on track seems very much difficult. Schools and colleges need to be resumed. Rehabilitation till the whole city comes back on track should be our main concern. Our government first needs to look into this matter more seriously than Bullet Trains and Smart Cities. We need to aid Chennai with every possible resource. Technological development can wait but life of a common man, whose house has been submerged in floods, cannot wait but to get repaired first. In India, we think of development on large scale but we forget tha

Kashmir, a dream destination for many. To see the beautiful valleys, snow clad mountains, the nature’s beauty, etc. Etc. Etc. But do we really understand why Kashmir is still the same from past so many decades? The population in Kashmir (which is in Indian boundaries) is around 7 million (Kashmir valley + Jammu), it has the most tourists, domestic as well as foreigners, throughout the year but still the state has preserved its beauty. How? Many cities including the major metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, Chennai, etc. have lost their beauty since decades due to rising population and tourism. Why can’t these cities be preserved as Kashmir is? Do people really take care of Kashmir because it is called ‘Heaven on Earth’? Or is it the military power which compels every person going there to be sure to behave well, to keep the city clean? I don’t think these are strong reasons, it’s the people’s mentality which saves the Paradise on Earth. The residents of

A Step Towards a Goal

How does a journey start.....by just thinking over it? NO! It starts when we take our first step towards it. Milestones can be achieved, every goal can be accomplished.....but take that first step, start working towards it and you will see miracles happening. You will see things will work out as per your will.....suddenly you will find time in your busy schedule, you’ll get support from every person around & this Universe will make it happen.                 Such a step, of seeing Mumbai become Shanghai, has been taken. An organization called Blue Ribbon Movement(BRM) , along with Praja – a NGO and Mumbai First ,  has started a project called  1916 – A Super Hero . It involves NSS volunteers of various colleges across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, etc. The aim of the project is to promote 1916 – A Centralized Complaint Registration Number of BMC. This project, along with 1916 awareness, aims at a co-ordinated effort of BMC and citizens of Mumbai to keep Aamchi Mu

Ranathambore Tiger Safari - My Secret Destination!!

Image
"All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveller is unaware." - Martin Buber A beautiful quote which I believed in after my trip to Rajasthan in December'14 .It was a trip which I was not much interested to be in! But fate gets you to the right place at the right time. Ranthambore – is known for its tiger safari . Although not much interested in animals, this safari was to be witnessed, as people said. And this safari really turned out to be a lifetime experience!! We had two safaris at two different times. But the most memorable was the early morning one !! Pond in the sanctuary Going for safari in the chilled morning, temperature almost 6 degrees! Everyone wearing every possible warm wear to avoid the cold.......but sitting in an open cantor!! The chilling weather made me question myself, “ kya jaroorat thi itni subah 5 baje uthkar itni thandi mein TIGER dekhne jane ki!!” But then as time proceeded and as we went through the way to jungle, the

Anything.Anywhere....

Anything.Anywhere. The world of imagination, the world where people live their dreams. They enjoy the success which they get in this beautiful world yet VIRTUAL world. The world where you can be anywhere at anytime!!! And the world where you can think about ANYTHING ANYWHERE!! :D This world where you go when you are sleeping, or when you are in a lecture of your favourite teacher(sarcastically!! :P). No time to be here......just a moment can make you feel better. The imagination to be on a date with your crush......the imagination to be at your dream location.....to help every person possible.......to win hearts........to be a winner in EVERYTHING!!!! But sometimes these imaginations go wild!!! They scare us...they depress us, but let it go off man!! Just stay in the world of positivities.....the world where you are the boss, the world where everything works according to you. But dost...sambhalke...kahi khudki tareef mein itna na udo ki fir gir ke sambhal bhi na pao!! So let this worl
